Canadian Citizenship (or “Oy vey, Canada!”)
A newly-minted citizen?
UPDATED 05/13/2009: If you want to know how long things actually took, see here.
UPDATED 05/28/2009: And you may want to see details about the subsequent passport application timing.
As some of you may recall from earlier postings, SFBaby is a dual citizen and she is also Canadian by birthright. Given our relatively good first experiences [...]
This is the life!
SFBaby ♥ palm trees.
This is the life! Even though SFBaby had her own fancy car seat to keep her out of the sun while we were in Hawai`i, the rest of the family got to relax underneath a rather pleasant palm tree.
At the end of the world
Kicking it?
One day, while SFMom was at a yoga class, SFDad decided to drive to the “end of the line” in northern Kaua`i. After passing a dozen or so one-lane bridges, the world of pavement ends at Ha`Ena Beach Park. The beach was surprisingly busy for being so far out of the way, but one [...]
Envious baby
Where’s my Banana Boat?
Unfortunately for those who are on a Hawaiian vacation with a six-week old, it seems that it’s a bad idea to expose babies to sunscreen if they are under six months of age.
Although M and D spent a lot of time hanging around on beaches and enjoying the Hawaiian weather, poor SFBaby [...]
It’s a bird…it’s a plane…it’s…
SuperBaby?
You can see B here in her best “SuperBaby” pose at the Kilauea Lighthouse in Kaua`i. It was rather windy (can you tell by SFMom’s hair?) but at least it was still warm. All she needs is a cape to perfect the outfit (although Elastigirl might disagree).
Giddiyap, daddy!
Giddiyap, daddy!
SFDad has finally had a chance to work on some of his Hawai`i photos! Here you can see B on the beach in Lihue in her prime “jockey” position. We ended up using the Baby Bjorn a lot during our travels; it tends to calm B a lot, and it was a lifesaver for [...]
When peanut butter is a weapon
WMD?
I can’t believe they took my peanut butter! Well, as a veteran flyer, SFDad probably should have known better…but it was still unexpected.
When our family arrived at the Lihue airport earlier this month, we carefully made sure not to bring anything that would piss off the people at the TSA checkpoint (liquids, gels, explosives, etc.) [...]
I CAN HAS BABY!!!
While in Boston, SFBaby got to meet her cousin E. E is nine months older than B, so she was very excited to get to hang around with her teeny little baby friend.
Of course, babies are cute by definition, so we had to do a little photo shoot before we left. The little critters kept [...]
Baby Got Back
Hi everyone! It’s SFBaby again. I wanted to let you know that I’m starring in a new film about my athletic prowess!
That’s right—when we were in Hawai`i, I competed in the Baby Backstroke Championships. I was doing really well until I got DQed thanks to a teeny little mistake that someone else made (not to [...]
Descend and maintain three thousand, contact San Francisco Approach 134.5
Maybe she can get the QC3 for her first birthday…
B has notched 10,000 air miles under her belt in her short two-month life and she is very glad to be home! Us parents are also recovering from the flights; we are glad that we went, but perhaps we will pay a little more attention to [...]
