Where’s my Banana Boat?
Unfortunately for those who are on a Hawaiian vacation with a six-week old, it seems that it’s a bad idea to expose babies to sunscreen if they are under six months of age.
Although M and D spent a lot of time hanging around on beaches and enjoying the Hawaiian weather, poor SFBaby had to be kept sheltered from all of that. You can see her here on a Lihue beach, watching longingly at other sunbathers getting ready to bake in the sun.
SFBaby did get lucky in one respect, however: SFDad carried her (million pound) carseat around to a couple of beaches, so SFBaby had plush, shady oceanfront seating for most of our expeditions!
