A graduate!
SFBaby’s version of Pomp and Circumstance
That’s right! Wee little B slept in her bassinet for the last time this past week and she has now graduated to her spacious and airy crib.
Mommy and daddy are a little sad about the passing of her old ways, but frankly, SFBaby was just getting too darn big to jam into the bassinet anymore.
One of SFMom and SFDad’s favorite parts about little B is waking up with her in the morning. She is almost always in a good morning mood, and she is typically happy to play around by herself in the bassinet (which is at the foot of our bed) for an hour or so after she wakes up. She has thus far not been quite as happy with waking up in her crib, but we suspect that this will change soon.
In the bassinet, her lucky parents were treated to what we call the “grunt-n-roll”: seeing the bassinet gently shaking, watching the occasional spurious hand or foot flying out, and listening to a fun diatribe of baby babble that sounds like a chorus of songbirds. So, okay, it actually doesn’t sound anything at all like a chorus of songbirds…but it’s cute nonetheless.
You can see our “bed’s eye view” of the action in the video above.

So sweet! Wonder what she is saying?
“Why is she waking up? She can’t get up!”
