Baby Chucks

While our Dutch friends were in town, one of their main quests was to find a pair of baby-sized Converse All Stars. They trekked high and low across the city, from REI to Sports Basement, but they came up empty handed.

SFDad is still not yet an expert (or even a layman) in terms of baby clothing stores, so he was regrettably unable to provide additional advisement to our guests. (At least he now knows that the San Francisco REI does not have any baby clothing whatsoever.)

Luckily for our friends, they just happened to wander into the Mission on their second-last day. It turns out that baby Chuck Taylors can actually be found in the unlikeliest of places: the Sketchers at 22nd St! Needless to say, they ended up buying a couple of pairs to satisfy all of their friends here and back home.

Our friends were kind enough to buy a pair for SFBaby too. She is now wikkid phat as you can see to your right.

  Wow, duudette! Katie had a pair of those – she was cool and we didn’t even know it. (I wonder if that makes her wikkid lowphat). I’m a huge fan of the Robeez. Made in Canada!
