A Milestone a Day

It’s a week of big milestones here at the SFBaby household! In addition to her newfound habit of scurrying around the room (which the in-laws refer to as the “military crawl”), she has also begun to get into the whole “sitting” thing.

Last week’s headline was that she was able to remain sitting without falling over (or at least not too often), but that is now old news. Just today, SFBaby has been showing off how she can push herself up into the sitting position. While this risky maneuver occasionally has disastrous results (think: higher center of gravity), she’s really getting quite good at it.

SFDad often jokes that she will probably be asking for the car keys in a couple of weeks. (Would SFDad then have to babyproof the sidewalk too?!)

  Katie has clearly done these things in reverse – she sits up on her own but is not remotely interested in crawling, military or otherwise. She sits. and sits. and sits.
