Extremes of the Stay at Home Life
Today, for example, B had a gorgeous 2½ hour nap, leaving SFDad with plenty of time to do his own things, as well as a generous six additional hours of time to simply hang out with the baby.
Contrast this with the day before, where SFDad none-too-gingerly moved B just after she started her morning nap, waking the baby up in the process, and shattering the prospect of any sleep (or a non-cranky baby) for the remainder of the day. Of course, this just had to coincide with one of the weekdays where SFMom comes home later than usual due to her yoga class. (It’s a good thing that SFDad didn’t have any hair to start with.)
The bad days simply call for survival…whereas the good days call for creativity to fill the time. When the week goes by slowly, the camera is your friend. (SFDad admits that the baby seal photo above is actually from a few weeks ago, but the picture was dying to escape from his computer!)

This picture will undoubtedly wind up in her senior year high school yearbook…
