It’s All Relative
It so happens that SFBaby’s grandparents (from SFDad’s side) literally flew through town earlier this week. Our fantastic relatives were on their way to Hawai`i, but they had a stopover of a day or so in San Francisco in order to visit with SFBaby and the rest of her clan. (The SFGrandparents live on the east coast, so San Francisco is also a good resting spot between their pair of five-hour flghts!)
They had just enough time to get two nights rest here, to go with SFDad on a super-fancy shopping trip to Trader Joe’s, to play with the baby, and to make lots of googly faces before moving on. The good news is that they will also be stopping here on their way back from Hawai`i in about two weeks, and that they will actually be staying for an entire week in California. This stopover is ostensibly so that they can adjust to part of the six-hour time zone difference, but SFDad thinks he knows the real reason for their stay…
