Climbing the Walls
On belay?
[/caption]We just returned from spending a few days with the grandparents over the Thanksgiving holiday. Upon our return, it seemed that SFBaby had miraculously taught herself a few new tricks…such as climbing.
The other set of grandparents had previously shown her how to crawl on top of our (relatively low) laundry basket during their October visit, but ascending our living room coffee table is a new trick indeed.
She hasn’t quite made it to the top yet, but she is getting good at reaching and grabbing, so we don’t think it will be long now.
In unrelated news, we are now (mostly) finished with babyproofing our bedroom!
When we were setting up our room four years ago, the luck of the draw meant that SFMom got to use a fairly high table as a nightstand, whereas SFDad got to use a relatively low one. This worked well at the time, but now, we’ve realized that SFBaby has become proficient at clearing out everything on the lower nightstand. Thus, SFDad’s collection of books, coins and everything else had to go.
While SFBaby finds the now-solitary digital alarm clock to be extremely interesting, that is one of the few things that SFDad is unable to part with. At least she hasn’t dropped it on the floor…yet.
