Birthday Girl

SFBaby had a great first birthday “party” a couple of weeks ago. We write “party” because it was more of an excuse to spend time with our family to celebrate SFBaby’s first year—there were no other little ones in attendance. To provide complete coverage, we even dialed in the grandparents-from-the-east for a Skype video conference of the ceremony!

SFBaby has not yet been introduced to the wonderful ingredients of sugar and butter, so we opted to make her a birthday “cake” consisting of bananas, flax seed, and other slightly-more-healthy ingredients. Not knowing any better, SFBaby thought (of course) that this cake was da’ bomb and it became her favorite post-meal treat for the next couple of days.
