Scary Bear
The Troggs would presumably be proud of the gyrating bear on the coffee table.
Many moons ago, before SFBaby was born, SFDad had a job—one that paid actual money, as opposed to his current position that involves bonding and trying to create fond childhood memories.
Back in 2007, his then-workplace hosted a White Elephant party. One of the gifts that was unboxed during the night was a bizarre talking bear. At first, it was looking like the bear would be the “dud” gift of the party…but the other partygoers did not realize that SFDad secretly coveted the bear.
Even though the bear had small pieces and would not be really appropriate for SFDad’s (as of yet unborn) young baby girl, SFDad decided to “steal” the bear from one of the other partygoers during a late stage of the game. Needless to say, no one tried to steal it back.
The bear was kept under wraps for the first part of SFBaby’s life, but we dug it out of the toybox two weeks ago. SFBaby was scared of it at first, but she has now taken a liking to it. (Let the record show that the bear still scares us.)
SFBaby recently figured out how to turn it on by herself and she now loves to carry it around. Last night, we even caught her trying to put some of her dinner in the bear’s mouth (!). Scary indeed.

Okay, SFBaby sooooooooo cute! The scary bear, not so cute. Or maybe it’s the singing. I have a feeling that the bear might “accidently” get lost in the next month or so.
